A Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have been in private practice since 1994. Board Certified in Neurofeedback and a Certified EMDR Therapist, my training goes far beyond a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I have devoted my professional career to training with some of the top experts in the field and keeping abreast of the best ways to help my clients. My counseling practice addresses most life issues, with specialties in codependency, relationships, trauma and the emotional reconnection of men.  I also have extensive experience dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, sexual addiction and sexual abuse.

Both my work and life are heavily influenced by my training with Pia Mellody.   I facilitate intensive workshops developed by Pia based on her model of trauma recovery, Post Induction Therapy. These workshops address the roots of codependency, facilitating the healing of childhood wounds and enabling participants to learn to live fully functional lives as an adult.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is used in my practice to help clients process traumatic memories that have been locked in the brain unprocessed.  By using this method, clients are able to change negative self-beliefs and process unresolved memories.

My training with international trauma expert, Bessel Van Der Kolk led me to the game-changing practice of neurofeedback. Introducing neurofeedback into my practice enabled clients to eliminate or reduce the symptoms which still lingered in the brain beyond talk therapy. Through neurofeedback, clients have been able to train their brains to experience emotional regulation, calming and resiliency.

One of my passions is helping others create loving relationships in which they are both cherished and cherishing. Through Terry Real, I discovered a way of helping couples that transcends traditional couples counseling. A Master Certified Relational Life therapist,  I have trained with Terry since the inception of the Relational Life Institute and joined the faculty in 2006.  In addition to my private practice, I am Co-Director of Relational Life Mastery and Coaching. I coach therapists internationally as part of their training in Relational Life Therapy and mastery of full respect living. My articles on relationships have been published in WQ magazine, Woman to Woman magazine and Mommy Magazine.
